AC Milan general manager Marco Fassone has left the door open for the club to make a ‘surprise’ move for James Rodriguez this summer.
The Rossoneri are enjoying a busy summer with several new signings following a successful takeover earlier this year, including that of Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio.
However, the signature of Colombian playmaker James would potentially be the deal of the summer for the Milanese club, with Real Madrid reportedly open to selling the former Porto and Monaco star.
“Signing a player like James? At the end of the week, we’ll have to make a budget estimate, based on our latest incomings and outgoings,” Fassone explained to reporters.
“We could decide to spend on a single player or several of them. There’ll be surprises.”
