Roma join race for Jesus Navas?

Roma have reportedly joined the race for former Manchester City winger Jesus Navas, who is also wanted by Lazio and former club Sevilla.

Sporting director Monchi is reported by Corriere dello Sport as being interested in the 31-year-old, whom he was also interested in signing in his previous role with the Andalucian club.

According to El Desmarque, Roma’s city rivals Lazio made a bumper offer of €3.5m in an annual wage to the free agent who left City at the end of last season and had been strongly linked with a return to Los Rojiblancos in Spain.

Navas left Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan to join the Premier League club in 2013 in a €20m deal and is sixth in the club’s list of all-time appearances with 395, only 18 shy of record appearance holder Pablo Blanco.
