Iborra reveals Leicester excitement

Sevilla captain Vicente Iborra has spoken of his excitement for joining Leicester City and revealed he could not turn down the English club’s offer.

The 29-year-old represented Los Rojiblancos on 172 occasions since joining from Levante in 2013 but will leave the club to join the Foxes this summer in a deal worth around €14m.

"It's a project that really attracts me,” Iborra told Sevilla’s club website.

“It's a club that wants to grow, like Sevilla, and that has shown a lot of interest in me. I'm grateful to them, too.

"I know it's going to be good for me and for my family to experience such a vibrant league as the Premier League is.

"Destiny is whimsical, I'm thinking about my family's future and that is the reason that I've decided to move on.

"The club has understood this was the best situation for everyone and we have reached an agreement.

“At no time did we want to end things badly and if I had to leave, I was going to do it in the best possible way. Now I will be farther away but my support from the distance will be there.

"It's going to be difficult to leave Sevilla but I depart happy with what I've achieved.

"I've always said that at Sevilla, I have everything and I've been very happy here.

"I've experienced everything I wanted and much more, giving all the confidence back that the club had given to me."
