Lazio to beat Sevilla for Navas?

Former Manchester City winger Jesus Navas may not be returning to Sevilla as Italian giants Lazio have reportedly offered him an annual net wage of €3.5m.

According to El Desmarque, the Rome-based club have made the bumper offer to the free agent who left City at the end of last season and had been strongly linked with a return to Los Rojiblancos.

Navas left Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan to join the Premier League club in 2013 in a €20m deal and is sixth in the club’s list of all-time appearances with 395, only 18 shy of record appearance holder Pablo Blanco.

Both Sevilla president Jose Castro and sporting director Oscar Arias have confirmed they were keen for Navas to return to the club but it is unlikely they can compete with Lazio’s latest offer, should the winger chose to accept it.
