Real Betis have officially confirmed the signing of Barcelona winger Cristian Tello on a long-term deal until June 2022.
Various media reports in Spain suggest the fee involved is €4m along with an additional €1m in bonuses, while the 25-year-old has now been unveiled as a Betis player after completing his medical.
“Very happy and excited to start this new spell at Betis,” Tello tweeted on Friday when it had been announced the club’s had reached a financial agreement.
“Thank you for all the faith. [I have] a lot of desire to play again in La Liga.”
The former Spanish youth international netted 20 times in 86 appearances for the Blaugrana before enjoying loan spells with FC Porto and Fiorentina.
Tello joins Sergio Leon and Victor Camarasa as summer signings at Estadio Benito Villamarin, while Middlesbrough full back Antonio Barragan and PSV midfielder Andres Guardado are also reported targets.
