Madrid end De Gea pursuit

Real Madrid have signalled the end of their attempts to sign David De Gea from Manchester United and will put faith in Keylor Navas, say reports in Spain.

According to Marca, the English club’s insistence on a €75m deal – alongside potential wage demands – would have been out of place within the club’s financial structure.

The Madrid outlet insists Los Blancos made an effort to sign the goalkeeper last month but after consideration they will now continue with the Costa Rican Navas as their number one.

Reports have also suggested Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is being lined up by the Spanish and European champions for a summer move next year, when the teenager is out of contract at the San Siro.
