Sergio Ramos says he is “tremendously proud” of Real Madrid after their historic Champions League success on Saturday.
Madrid beat Juventus 4-1 in Cardiff to not only seal La Duodecima, their 12th European cup, but also become the first club in the modern era to defend the Champions League.
“I’m tremendously proud of this team,” the centre-back told Real Madrid TV.
“We had a date with history, we really wanted to win it and we achieved what no-one had ever done, to win two consecutive Champions Leagues.
“We made very few mistakes, we’re worthy winners.
“This is for everyone who has to put up with me, including my wife, children, parents and all ‘madridismo’.”
