Sergio Ramos believes Real Madrid have proved that they are the best team in the world’s best League after their title triumph.
Ramos’ consistent defending and penchant for a late goal helped Madrid en route to a 33rd top-flight title, made safe by a 2-0 victory over Malaga on Sunday.
“The feelings are very good,” he said after the game.
“It’s a prize for our consistency, a great team that deserved to win the League after so much sacrifice.
“The key has been consistency, playing each game as if it were the last. There have been bad games, of course, but the team have played with character and got the points.
“Winning the League deserves a lot of credit, it’s the best League in the world, Madrid have shown themselves to be the best team [in La Liga] and now we can celebrate.
“Doubts over the season? There are always doubts, our rivals pushed us a lot, but we kept calm and maintained the dynamics of our work.
“Party? Yes, now we have time to enjoy [the title]. We’re waiting for our fans at Cibeles.”
