“A final for football-lovers” – Ramos

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos believes their Champions League final showdown with Juventus ‘will be a match for all football-lovers’.

Los Blancos are aiming for their twelfth Champions League crown in Cardiff’s showpiece against the Italian champions, while Ramos also insisted he would put aside his personal friendship with Gonzalo Higuain for the clash.

“This group is very hungry. It will be a match for all football-lovers," Ramos is reported as saying by AS.

"I am very proud of the team for having reached the final for the third time in four years. It's something incredible that our grandchildren will remember.

"I have a great relationship with Higuain, but I don't intend to give him an inch in the final. There will be sparks on the pitch."

Madrid are aiming for revenge for the 2015 Champions League semi final defeat to Juventus – their only elimination from the tournament since 2013.
