Barcelona are willing to offer Jordi Alba on loan in order to land Atletico Madrid full-back Theo Hernandez, say reports in Spain.
Onda Cero’s football programme El Transistor state the Catalan club are extremely keen on landing the teenage defender on a permanent deal, following reports he could make the switch across Madrid to join the Bernabeu this summer.
The French Under 20 international has a release clause of €24m and has impressed on a season-long loan deal at Deportivo Alaves this campaign and the Blaugrana are confident that an offer which will include Alba is seen to guarantee Theo would have a first-ream role to play at the Camp Nou.
“Atletico have made it clear that if he leaves they would prefer it if he went to Barcelona,” stated journalist José Ramón de la Morena on the show.
Los Rojiblancos are adamant they are unwilling to let the full-back leave this summer but will have little choice should his release clause be met.
