Juve mentally strong – Allegri

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri believes the club’s mentality and self-confidence has grown in recent years, ahead of their game with Barcelona.

The Bianconeri lead the tie 3-0 from last week’s first leg in Turin and will be hoping to avoid a Barca ‘remontada’ similar to that suffered by Paris Saint-Germain.

“We are a mentally strong team,” Allegri explained in his pre-match press conference.

“Our players have international experience and above all, we have the required maturity.

“Wednesday will be a wonderful day and a great match but we must not think about the advantage we have from the first leg – we must focus solely on winning the game.

“We are improving as a team, as I said after the first leg, our aim is always to play at the Champions League quarter finals as we are among the best eight teams in Europe.

“If we qualify, then we can talk about the semi-finals or final but not in advance of that, but that must be our target as we are a club that is always improving.”
