Shakespeare hopes for ‘special night’

Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare has instructed his players to make it ‘another special night’ ahead of their match with Atletico Madrid.

Following their 1-0 first leg at the Vicente Calderon, the Foxes still retain hope of reaching the last four of the competition.

“We’re aiming to make it another special night at the King Power,” Shakespeare explained in his pre-match press conference.

“There are no easy games in football and especially not at this level, we aren’t here to make up the numbers and we will be going out to progress to the semi-finals.

“Of course you want footballers to go out and enjoy the game, play with freedom and have a smile on their face but for this one we also need to be really smart.

“We need to be alert and clever during this game, and if we lose or go out then we won’t have enjoyed it.”
