Real Madrid full-back Marcelo has admitted he would like to play for his hometown club Botafogo before retiring from the game.
The Brazilian moved to the Bernabeu in 2007 as an 18-year-old from Fluminense and has played over 400 games for the club, winning two La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns in his spell.
"Would I play for Botafogo? Yes, some day," said Marcelo, before adding: "It would be nice."
The Brazilian club promptly reacted by fixing up a No. 6 shirt with Marcelo's name on it and posting the image on Twitter with a message that said: "Here you will always be welcome!”
