Bayern Munich want to sign Atletico Madrid forward Yannick Carrasco to replace Douglas Costa, according to a report in Spain.
AS claim Carlo Ancelotti is ‘fascinated’ by the possibility of a deal for the Belgian, although his €100m release clause with Los Rojiblancos could potentially be a stumbling block.
The 23-year-old first caught the eye of the Italian Coach whilst he starred for Monaco before joining city rivals Atleti for a €20m fee in 2015, months after Ancelotti had been dismissed at the Bernabeu.
He came directly to the German champion’s attention earlier this season during the two Champions League clashes between the sides in the group stages, with the tie in Madrid decided by Carrasco’s strike.
The report concludes that Diego Simeone is a big fan of the forward and has no intention of selling him, but does state Atleti’s stance of selling players should the right offer come in.
