Manchester United are preparing to meet the buyout clause of Barcelona star Neymar, according to a report in Spain.
Catalan newspaper Diario Sport reports the English giants will offer the Blaugrana the required €200m to trigger the Brazilian’s move to Old Trafford.
Such a deal would double the world record for a transfer fee – when the Red Devils paid €100m to Juventus for Paul Pogba’s transfer last year.
The report continues that United would make the 24-year-old forward the highest-paid player in the Premier League by reportedly offering him a wage packet worth in excess of £415,000 a week.
Neymar signed a new five-year deal at the Camp Nou in October last year.
