Sergio Ramos has taken another thinly-veiled swipe at Gerard Pique by refusing to discuss refereeing controversies or ‘tweet’ about it.
The Real Madrid captain was speaking after his side’s action-packed 3-3 draw with Las Palmas in which he conceded a penalty for handball and where a number of controversial offside decisions against both sides looked like it could spark controversy just days after he questioned the Barcelona defender's belief that 'everything is a plot against him'.
"We are not going to enter into any controversy," Ramos told reporters, before stating that he would not be rushing off to social media to put anything else up to the contrary.
"We said that we will not talk about the referees nor will we put [out] a tweet.
"As I said the other day, sometimes they give [for] you and others take it away.
"We would have liked to remain leaders. We have to self-criticise and turn the page. All teams have ups and downs.
"We have had chances after the end to win the match but it wasn't to be."
