Real Madrid cannot afford to replicate their sloppy performance at Valencia again if they are to win La Liga, insists vice-captain Marcelo.
The Brazilian lamented the side’s opening ten minutes where they conceded two ‘foolish’ goals which was too big as task against a team such as Valencia.
"We started very badly," Marcelo is quoted as telling reporters by Marca.
"There are no excuses and we are to blame because we conceded two foolish goals, we did everything we could to equalise at the end but it was too late.
"Valencia are a great team. They've been through a bad phase but it's very difficult to play in this stadium and in front of these fans.
“We have to learn from our mistakes. We're still league leaders but we can't play like this again."
