Valencia may appoint caretaker coach Voro Gonzalez as permanent manager following the resignation of Cesare Prandelli, the club have indicated.
Voro has agreed to temporarily take the reins at Los Che for the fifth time in his career having previously overseen eleven matches, winning eight and losing just two.
However, the former defender made over 200 appearances in a decade at the Mestalla could be the new permanent boss following the departure of the Italian.
"Voro will take the team, train and prepare the team in the best way," Valencia’s Director of Football Jesus Garcia Pitarch told Marca.
"No one is looking for a coach, I have not proposed a coach. As long as he wants it we'll look at him.''
Prandelli confirmed on Saturday he left due to a disagreement over transfer targets, claiming promises had been broken by club owner Peter Lim regarding the business the club could do in the January transfer window.
