Las Palmas want Inter’s Gabigol

Out-of-favour Inter Milan striker Gabigol could be on the move to Las Palmas in January according to media reports from Italy and his native Brazil.

Italian TV channel Sky Sport reported on Wednesday that the Gran Canarian side were lining up a loan move for the 20-year-old striker, who has only played 16 minutes of football for the Nerazurri this season.

Inter signed the striker from Brazilian side Santos this summer shortly after new manager Frank De Boer had been hired but having made only one substitute appearance under the Dutchman, hopes had been high that he would be given more opportunities under Stefano Pioli, but so far that has not been the case.

ESPN Brazil have since said their sources believe a loan move this January is on the cards and Inter would view this as a similar deal to the one that took Philippe Coutinho to Espanyol temporarily in 2012.

Gabigol's agent has already confirmed his client is not happy in Milan and may seek a move elsewhere, with a move to another Italian side or back to Brazil not ruled out.
