Bayern Munich are reportedly targeting former Real Betis and Rayo Vallecano midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo as a possible January signing.

The25-year-old is currently an integral part of Belgian side Genk’s central midfield and according to Belgian media outlet Laatste Nieuws, the Bavarian club have sent scouts to track his progress.

The report also links the German champions to Genk duo Leon Bailey and Wilfried Ndidi who have also impressed their scouts, with Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim among the other German clubs to register interest in the players.

Pozuelo spent two seasons at Betis – where he was a youth graduate – before joining Premier League side Swansea City in 2013 where he made 36 appearances before returning to Spain the following year with Rayo Vallecano.

However, the Seville-native spent only a season in Vallecas before joining Genk on a two-year deal in 2015 where he has shown the best form of his career.
