Eusebio Sacristan hailed “the intensity and determination” Real Sociedad showed to beat Leganes 2-0 in La Liga on Friday.
Goals from Willian Jose and Xabi Prieto fired La Real to successive wins for the first time in 2016-17, ended a run of four straight away defeats and provisionally moved them up to sixth in the table.
“I highlighted to the team, the intensity and determination of winning at a tough stadium,” the Coach said after the game.
“The first goal gave us tranquillity, but we said that we had to score a second to win the game.
“I wanted us to achieve two straight wins and we succeeded. It was important to break our bad run away from home.”
