Simeone rules out PSV rotation

Diego Simeone has appeared to rule out rotating his squad ahead of his side's Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven.

Saturday's victory at Celta Vigo started a busy schedule for Atletico of seven fixtures in three weeks 22 days, with two Champions League games and a midweek league trip to Barcelona included.

However, Simeone has made it clear he will only rotate his side if he believes it will improve his side's chances of victory.

"All coaches are different, but we seek to put the best side on the pitch who we believe will win the match," the Argentine boss told reporters ahead of the trip to Eindhoven.

"Rotation should be only to win, not to please people. Atletico are about winning, not making friends everywhere.

"We are looking for speed, explosiveness, goals. If players can give us that, they have a chance."

The 46-year-old was fielding the question in relation to Barcelona's much-changed side against Alaves, where they fell to a shock home defeat.
