Luis Alberto is set to complete a transfer from Liverpool to Lazio after the two clubs agreed on a €5m fee.
The Spanish midfielder has been at Anfield since the summer of 2013 but struggled to make an impact on Merseyside.
He has spent the last two seasons on loan at La Liga clubs, firstly with Malaga and then with Deportivo La Coruña in 2015-16.
The 23-year-old’s performances for the Galicia club last term, where he scored six goals and claimed seven assists, have been enough to attract the attention of the Serie A club.
Alberto is now free to agree personal terms before completing his move to Italy.
