Atletico Madrid have revived their interest in Bayer Leverkusen’s Hakan Calhanoglu, a target of a few years ago.
AS reports Los Colchoneros being keen on the Turkey international, having previously expressed an interest two years ago, according to both the player and his father.
A fee of €20m is mooted if Atletico want to follow up on the 22-year-old, who cost Leverkusen €14m when moving from Hamburg in 2014.
Atletico are reported to be still in the market despite the start of the season and Diogo Jota, the youngster signed from Pacos Ferreria, and Oliver Torres are both said to be on the brink of leaving, and Calhanoglu is touted as an option as Diego Simeone looks for midfield additions.
