The Coach of the Brazil Olympic team has praised the character of star striker Neymar ahead of their semi-final clash with Honduras.
The Barcelona player came in for some criticism from fans early in the competition, some of them questioning his attitude, but Rogerio Micale says Neymar has learned from his mistakes following the quarter-final victory over Colombia.
“Neymar is a player who carries a lot of responsibility because of the quality he possesses. He’s smart and has learned from his mistakes. If he has failed in the past then he has corrected it,” he told reporters.
Micale also believes that Neymar’s new attitude could benefit Barcelona after he stood up to some provocation from the Colombians, although he conceded that “in the heat of the match there is bound to be friction, that’s human”.
