Deportivo la Coruna captain Laure has warned his teammates over the danger of underestimating Eibar ahead of this Friday’s game.
The Galicians take on Los Armeros at Riazor in their opening La Liga fixture of the 2016-17 campaign and Laure is aware Eibar have started the last two Primera seasons well.
“Eibar, in the years they’ve been in the top flight, have shown they are a team that starts the season very well,” the experienced 31-year-old told a Press conference.
“They know that getting off to a good start gives them extra confidence and we have to be ready to compete with them.
“We have a very balanced squad and there is competition for places in all positions. That’s great for the team as we will all grow.
“That said, we have room for improvement and I hope results at home improve in respect to recent seasons.
“It’s been some years since Riazor has seen the football everybody wants to see, but hopefully this year we’ll get that consistency and the victories we’d all like.”
