‘Valencia don’t want to sell Alcacer’

Valencia President Chan Lay Hoon insists her club “don’t want to sell” Paco Alcacer, amidst talk that the striker is Barcelona-bound.

Sport claimed on Saturday that Alcacer was ready to sign a five-year contract with Barca after a €30m fee had been agreed, but Chan has now made it clear that Valencia will not let the 22-year-old leave without a fight.

“In the event of any doubts, we don’t want to sell Paco Alcacer,” she said at a club function, the newspaper reports.

“He’s a legate of Valencia and we’re clear on this.”
