Zidane: Respect for Ancelotti

Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane has expressed ‘great respect’ for Bayern Munich’s Carlo Ancelotti and credits him with making him a Coach.

Zidane worked as Ancelotti’s assistant for a spell at Santiago Bernabeu and also played under the Italian at Juventus, and with their respective teams coming face-to-face in a pre-season friendly, was asked what Carletto means to him.

“I’m very happy because I have great respect for Carlo. I played for him, so I’ve known him a long time. He’s someone I admire a lot and I learned a lot from him. I was silent, I was there and I wanted to learn what I had to do,” Zidane recalled, AS reports.

“I learned a lot from him and now it’s my turn to be Madrid Coach. It’s thanks to him that things changed. I have a lot of respect for him and I’ll say hello as always, with great respect.”
