I must play more, warns James

James Rodriguez has warned Real Madrid that "I hope to play more" in the coming season after pledging to stay at the club.

James recently revealed that he rejected an unnamed club who bid €85m for his services in order to fight for his place at Madrid, and he has since made it clear that he will not entertain another season like last, when he appeared in just 39.8 percent of Los Blancos' matches.

"I hope to play more this year. I'm hoping for a good season at a high level," the midfielder told Caracol TV.

"My happiest moment [in football] was my goal against Uruguay [at the 2014 World Cup].

"The saddest was [Colombia's] elimination against Brazil. I cried for five hours."
