Franco Vazquez had no hesitation accepting the offer from Sevilla and is eager to get to work with his new Coach, Jorge Sampaoli.
Vazquez has been presented by Los Rojiblancos after a move from Palermo and revealed ex-Sevilla midfielder Enzo Maresca was pivotal to the operation.
“I’m a close friend of his. We shared two-and-a-half years at Palermo. He always spoke well of this club, the city, the people. He told me very good things,” Vazquez revealed, according to Estadio Deportivo.
“Sampaoli wants a very attacking game. Pressing high up. It’s a very attractive game. If things go well we’ll enjoy it a lot. I hope we do the right things so people can enjoy it. I’ve been playing behind the forwards for three years but I’ve played deeper as well and I like that as well.
“I had a year at Rayo Vallecano and the truth is I was very happy and eager to return to La Liga. I’ve got the chance with an important club in Sevilla. I’m proud to be wanted by a club like this. I didn’t hesitate for a minute.”
