Van der Vaart: Betis don’t want me

Rafael van der Vaart says Real Betis ‘don’t want him’ on the tour of Germany but if he doesn’t get a move away, he’ll fight for his place.

Van der Vaart told Fox Sports that he’ll be in Seville from Monday when Betis go to Germany to play a pre-season tournament, and he is looking for a new club.

“As everyone knows, they don’t want me there. I’ll go and train and see what happens. If I don’t leave in the end, I want to earn my place in the team,” AS quotes the midfielder as saying, adding that he has been maintaining his fitness over the summer.

“I have a particular trainer in Amsterdam and I’m training hard with him every day. There is contract with other clubs, but nothing concrete.”
