Mundo Deportivo insists Barcelona are not interested in signing Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez, contrary to reports in France and England on Saturday.
It had been claimed by France Football and various publications in England that Mahrez rejected Leicester’s offer of a new contract as he was holding out for Barca.
However, the Catalan newspaper cites sources from La Blaugrana that the attacker “isn’t an option” for the club due to the player “not fitting their technical profile”.
Leicester are keen to tie Mahrez down to a new deal after losing N’Golo Kante to Chelsea, albeit in a club-record £30m sale.
