Reports in Italy insist Atletico Madrid will offer want-away Lazio forward Keita Balde an escape from Serie A.
Girona-born Balde quit the Barcelona youth set-up in 2013 and signed for the Biancocelesti but his relationship with his club has soured in recent weeks and he has insisted he won’t return.
AS cites reports from the Corrierre Dello Sport that claims Valencia and Sevilla are interested in bringing the 21-year-old back to La Liga, but he’d be too expensive for them both at €22m, and only Atletico can match the asking price.
Manchester United have also been linked and Monaco reportedly made an offer, but it was short of what Lazio are demanding.
The problems between Balde and Lazio are said by AS to stem from contract talks, with Balde wanting to double his wages to €1.5m a year, his current deal expiring in 2018.
