‘Pogba-United deal not imminent’

Manchester United’s interest in signing Paul Pogba has been approved by BBC Sport, “but there is no deal imminent” for the Real Madrid target.

Sky Sports and AS consecutively reported over the weekend that United had reached an agreement with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, but the British broadcaster “has been told no moves have yet been made”.

As it stands, United have not held any talks with Juventus, who remain confident the midfielder will sign a new contract with the club, while Madrid remain the player’s preferred destination.

Pogba is also said to be ignoring the speculation as he prepares for Sunday’s Euro 2016 between his native France and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.
