Barca ‘agree to Neymar demands’

Barcelona have reportedly shifted in their position on Neymar’s contract and agreed to pay him more than €15m per season.

AS says Neymar’s camp was asking for around €20m-a-year while Barca wouldn’t budge from €15m, but by adding bonuses to the terms of the deal the Brazil forward will now reach his desired pay packet in his new six-year contract.

It’s suggested that Barca have ‘jumped through hoops’ to settle Neymar’s future in their favour and the renewal could be announced on June 30, when President Josep Maria Bartomeu holds a Press conference at Noon.

Bartomeu last week sent general manager Raul Sanllehi to Brazil to speak directly with Neymar and his representatives as he was concerned over the delay to finalising the player’s renewal and Sanllehi’s presence has reportedly brought the sides closer, ‘millimetre by millimetre.’

Sport adds that the final hurdle to signing the new deal is not how much Neymar will be paid by Barca but how he will be paid, as all sides are desperate to avoid another tax issue.
