Morata wages blocking Juve stay?

Alvaro Morata’s wage demands are the main obstacle to the Spain striker staying at Juventus, a report claims.

AS cites the Gazzetta dello Sport as saying Morata, who could be re-signed by Real Madrid this summer, wants €7.5m-per-year from the Serie A champions if he is to remain in the fold.

Juve’s highest-paid player is Paul Pogba on €6m and Morata’s reasoning is that he could earn the mooted figure if he took an offer from the Premier League, specifically Arsenal or Chelsea.

AS however say Morata and Juve haven’t discussed money and if he did leave Turin it would be because he hasn’t been getting along with Coach Max Allegri.

It’s suggested that Madrid are then likely to re-sign Morata but sell him on at a profit, as Juve couldn’t afford to buy-out Morata’s return clause and pay him the wages he’s looking for, Pogba’s salary acting as an unofficial cap as the team’s central figure.
