Llorente says no to China

Fernando Llorente has been told he can leave Sevilla but rejected an approach from China.

Estadio Deportivo reports a big-money offer from an unnamed club in China made to the former Juventus target man, but despite the significant economic heft it’s been turned down.

Llorente is reportedly unhappy at being told he’s not got a future at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan but is staying quiet about where he sees his next step, Sevilla deciding that Llorente, their highest-paid player, hasn’t proven worth their investment.

Sevilla aren’t going to terminate his contract, however, and there is further interest, with reports in Italy speculating over a return to Juve, and publications in England suggesting Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka could provide a way out of Nervion.
