An intermediary reportedly offered Barcelona forward Neymar to Real Madrid for €192m, while he’s also said to have an open offer from Paris Saint-Germain.
AS cites Cope as claiming that Neymar would have cost Los Blancos some €192m, and the approach from PSG is worth €30m-a-year, net, with the spur being that Neymar has yet to officially renew at Barca.
Madrid however didn’t respond to the offer as they believed the approach was at least in part an attempt on behalf of the Neymar camp to wring more money out of Barca in their contract talks. Neymar was said to be looking for five times his existing Barca pay-packet from his new deal.
Neymar’s signing would also have forced Madrid to sell a forward but renewals for Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are almost done and Karim Benzema is a favourite of President Florentino Perez.
