Javier Mascherano is reported to have had words with teammate Neymar after the Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid this season.
Journalist Javi Miguel, speaking on Catalunya Radio’s ‘El Club de la Mitjanit’ programme, revealed that Mascherano was unhappy with his Brazilian teammate’s contribution and let him know his feelings after the game.
“Stop being so selfish, think more about the team,” the Argentine is alleged to have told Neymar.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the club are also concerned about Neymar’s lifestyle off the pitch and his appearance at parties that coincide with his days off.
However, the 24-year-old still remains part of the hardcore of the Barcelona dressing room as he enjoys a close relationship with both Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
