Alberto Moreno admits he wants to play former club Sevilla in the Europa League Final but the Liverpool left-back isn’t looking past Villarreal.
Moreno appeared before the Press to preview the Reds’ trip to El Madrigal and was asked if his team are favourites for the tournament now it’s down to the last four.
“I don’t like to see us as favourites. I think there are four teams in the semi-finals, all good teams, and anyone can win. We start with the same options and we’ll see what happens,” he replied, AS reports.
“Both [Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal] are complicated. Dortmund was very hard, so let’s see how this is. We want to play a good game at El Madrigal and then we’ll see the situation when we go to Anfield.
“When I saw the draw I didn’t celebrate anything. We play Villarreal and that’s who I want to beat. Sevilla are the team I want in the final, but only in the final. This is a beautiful tournament and to win it is always special. I won it with Sevilla and that was very special to me.”
