A report in Friday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo asserts Arda Turan is “only focused” on Barcelona and “has no plans to leave in the summer”.
Speculation arose on Thursday that cash-rich Chinese club Beijing Guoan had rekindled their interest in Arda, but the newspaper claims the midfielder is not prepared to see his dream of playing for Barca cut short, having been welcomed with open arms.
Despite his struggles to adapt to Barca’s style of play, Arda reportedly retains the confidence of Luis Enrique and will continue to force his way into the Coach’s plans at least until the end of the season.
The Turkey international left Atletico Madrid to sign a five-year contract with La Blaugrana last summer, in a deal which could rise to €41m, but he did not make his debut until January as the club were placed under a transfer ban.
