Marcelino warns it is ‘impossible Villarreal don’t suffer’ in the Europa League second leg with Bayer Leverkusen.
The Yellow Submarine go to Germany with a 2-0 lead but the Coach told a Press conference that Leverkusen will fight hard to overturn the tie.
“Bayer are a strong team. The first few minutes will be difficult. We expect the opponent will come out in a rush to close the gap,” he predicted, AS reports.
“I find it impossible we don’t suffer in this tie. We expect it to be extremely difficult, but we have a good advantage.
“We’ve done 50% of the work and we have to do everything right to win. At El Madrigal we worked to counteract Leverkusen defensively and offensively.
“Everyone would have taken a 2-0 lead before playing. We have no doubts about the team and we’re confident we will get through this tie, albeit with suffering.”
