Neymar ‘feels at home at Barcelona’ and ‘doesn’t see’ himself leaving Camp Nou as ‘the best players are here.’
The Brazil captain has been interviewed by Globo in his homeland and insisted he wants to remain with La Blaugrana as talks over a contract renewal go on.
“I think the most important thing in football is to play alongside good players, and I think the best players are here,” Neymar said, Mundo Deportivo reports.
“So I’m very happy at Barcelona. It’s a team where I feel at home. My teammates make me feel very calm. I don’t see myself leaving here.
“We’re experiencing a great phase. We’re doing very well in the League, we’re in the Copa del Rey Final and now we need to not make a mistake in the Champions League.
“We’re very happy with the work we’re doing and everything that’s happening on the pitch. And most importantly, the joy we have in training is flowing into the games.
“The team continues to evolve. There’s a lot we have to evolve to yet. I don’t know what our limit is. We’re making history and hopefully there’s even more to this story.
“What we want is to be happy, to play football. The philosophy of this club is to be happy on the pitch.”
