Getafe President Angel Torres says Barcelona players showed his club a lack of respect the last time the two clubs met.
Speaking ahead of the clash between El Geta and the Catalans at the Camp Nou on Saturday, Torres revealed he will not be attending the customary lunch between directors of both clubs after recalling the clash at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on October 31 last year.
“Barca disrespected us and I will not be going to the meal,” he told El Larguero, following allegations that Luis Enrique’s players wore fancy dress costumes in the dressing room after their 2-0 win in celebration of Halloween.
“I think [Gerard] Pique behaved very badly; everything that happened on Halloween came from Barca and I think they overdid it.
“Nobody from Barcelona called me to apologise for what happened. I’m always going to defend my club and not let anyone walk all over us, no matter how big FC Barcelona is.”
