Sevilla have started their summer planning and with a replacement likely needed for Ever Banega, Rayo Vallecano’s Jozabed is on the agenda.
Estadio Deportivo notes that while negotiations between the clubs haven’t started, Jozabed is one of the players sporting director Monchi is looking at should Banega leave Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Sevilla would likely baulk at meeting Jozabed’s €8m release clause, though, and Rayo would be equally unwilling to sell for less.
Jozabed was a product of the Sevilla academy before making his way to Vallecas and is said to have caught the eye of teams in Italy, Germany and England as well as Spain after netting nine goals so far this season.
