Camacho: Benitez should’ve kept quiet

Former Real Madrid boss Jose Antonio Camacho believes Rafa Benitez would have been best advised to “keep quiet” after his recent criticism of Los Blancos.

Benitez hinted at interference from Florentino Perez behind the scenes during his spell at the Santiago Bernabeu, which ended at the beginning of January, but one of his predecessors – who only lasted four months over two separate spells – disagreed with his outburst.

“Benitez is bitter about Real. If I was Benitez, I’d have kept quiet,” he told Punto Pelota.

“[On Zinedine Zidane], surely he’ll come up with the key.

“[On Cristiano Ronaldo], I wouldn’t sell him now.”
