The agent of Robert Lewandowski has moved to deny “nonsense” speculation linking the Bayern Munich striker with Real Madrid.
Cezary Kucharski appeared to open the door to Los Blancos when he collected Poland’s Player of the Year award on the striker’s behalf three days ago, but he has now made it clear that his client will not be leaving the Allianz Arena.
“It’s nonsense,” he told Polsat Sport.
“There are no talks with Real Madrid over a move. It’s just speculation.
“There are many rumours about Robert due to the type of player he is.
“He’s known not only in Poland and Germany, but throughout Europe.
“Each [transfer] window suggests a new team for him. I can tell you one thing: we haven’t spoken with the Spanish team.
“We’re talking to Bayern Munich about his renewal.
“I know Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is aware that Lewy is a great player and important for Bayern, so he will be rewarded.
“I’m calm about it. [The contract offer] will show [Bayern’s] appreciation.”
