Neymar ‘living the dream’ at Barca

Neymar has urged Barcelona fans not to worry about his future as he is “living the dream at the best and greatest club in the world”.

Speculation continues to link Neymar with Barca’s arch-rivals Real Madrid, who are reportedly willing to meet his €190m release clause and offer him a five-year contract worth €175m, but the Brazilian insists he has “years left” at Camp Nou.

“I still have years left at Barca,” he told BeIN Sports.

“There’s always talk [about my future], but I’m very happy at the club, I’m healthy and I have everything I need to play.

“It’d be difficult to leave because I’ve found a great city, a great club and a player from another planet [Lionel Messi], but you must consider everything.

“Still, the fans can stay calm because I’m still at the club and we have many games left to win another treble, which is what we want.

“We work all day for Barca, who are the best and greatest [club in the world].

“It’s a pleasure to be an idol of these fans and followers of a club, of whom I’ve always a big fan.

“Since I was little, I’ve loved the idea of playing for Barcelona and now I’m here.

“For me, I’m living the dream and I think I can still do more for the club.

“Since last season, I’ve been feeling great. I’m happy to help my teammates.

“I’m better than when I started here. I feel more at home and like myself.

“The Coach and team leave me alone to play my natural game.

“[On success this season], it depends on us. If we play well, we can win the League again.

“For me, it’s a great honour to be part of this forward line and make history with them.

“I’m a fan of both [Messi and Suarez] as players and even more as people. What’s important is that we’re friends.

“I find it normal to share a pitch with Leo. I hope he helps us win everything with his dribbling and goals.”
