La Liga President Javier Tebas insists the date and time of the derby between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid won’t change.
Atletico are unhappy they have to play Los Blancos on Saturday February 27, rather than the Sunday, as they travel to the Netherlands to face PSV Eindhoven on February 24.
“If we look at the newspaper archive I think Valencia have complained about the same thing, and Madrid and Barcelona,” Tebas said, Marca reports.
“This happens several times throughout the season with those that play Champions League midweek. This is the way, this is the calendar and its right. There are joint interests and that’s when it will be played.
“The change is totally ruled out. Saturday at 16:00 [local time] is the premium time for television.”
