Neymar court date to be moved

Barcelona forward Neymar will have his appearance in court moved due to his lawyer already having a case to defend on February 2.

Neymar, Barca President Josep Maria Bartomeu and his predecessor Sandro Rosell were this week called to testify amid allegations of fraud and corruption in Neymar’s transfer from Santos to La Blaugrana.

But AS reports that Jose Angel Gonzalez Franco, the lawyer representing Neymar and Bartomeu, has a conflict on February 2 and has asked for a new date to be arranged.

Gonzalez Franco is representing Juan Pedro Hernandez Molto, former President of the Castilla-La Mancha bank, on the same day.

The lawyer has presented the court with a letter explaining the conflict and it is expected that judge Jose de la Mata will agree to change dates.
